Both albums have been produced by Puspa's friend and mentor Kevin Bird, a San Francisco based film maker and composer, who carefully and patiently guided her over the last few years throughout this amazing transformation from Balinese dancer to World music vocalist and performer.
As to the sound palette of the folk song album "Bird and Flower"...
imagine classic Balinese folk and children songs like "Putri Cening Ayu" with beautiful melancholic piano and string arrangement, "Macepatan" with haunting African grooves and choirs, "Pulsinoge" interpreted as an upbeat Brazilian Samba, "Jenggot Uban" in joyful South Pacific Island tradition, and the beloved "Meong Meong" as a cool and soothing New York style jazz tune.
Additionally, the album also features beautiful instrumental piano pieces written by producer Kevin Bird, newly arranged and performed by pianist Henry Adam Curtis.
